Winters in Žemaitija are dark and cold, with long and gloomy evenings. That's how it is now. This was also the case during the reign of Counts Tiškevičius. So while it's still dark and dreary outside, we invite you to the mysteriously dark spaces of the Kretinga Museum, the former palace of the Counts Tiškevičius Manor.
Together with the Lady of the Manor or the Governess, after lighting the lanterns, we will take a walk around the visible and not accessible spaces of the palace, and "uncover" the yet unheard stories of the manor about life here until the light appears. We will end the tour with a stop in the Winter Garden created by Counts Tiškevičius, where the "Tree of Life" is currently shining in all the colors of paradise. The work of the Finnish light artist Alexander Reichstein perfectly fit into the space, which the artist called Kretinga's little paradise.
These tours are a new experience, where you will feel both the cold of darkness and the warmth of light, and behind it all the life story of a famous family that has left a priceless legacy for the people of today.
