However, even then there were curious artists who wanted to perform in Lithuania, who did not hesitate to come to the first steps of "Kaunas Jazz". One of them - the rhythms of jazz, folklore, funk, Latin American music into a beautiful musical picture composed by Swiss guitarist and composer Heinz Affolter. After coming to Lithuania, he fell in love with this country so much that he dedicated the song "Lithuania" to our country in one of his later albums. Heinz, who has performed in Lithuania several times, is a well-known Swiss musician who has collaborated with Dave Weckl and other jazz superstars. Heinz Affolter, who has been on the scene for several decades, is deservedly called one of the most expressive guitarists in Europe. The musician, who graduated from the Bern Music Academy, quickly created his own band. The Swiss, who has held many concerts, won international recognition with the record "Realities", released in 1987. It was thanks to it that the most prominent artists of the jazz world drew attention to Heinz - Alex Acuna, Fernando Saunders and one of the world's best drummers, Vinnie Colaiuta, helped record the album "Acoustic Adventure". This year, music connoisseurs are in for a real treat - "Kaunas Jazz". on the occasion of the anniversary, Heinzas will perform the "Acoustic Adventure" program, presented on concert tours in the USA, Argentina, Germany, Poland and other countries. It was not only played in the first season of the festival, but was also released on a vinyl record with the efforts of the "Kaunas Jazz" organizers, which is still owned by many domestic music lovers. It is melodious and rhythmic music that fascinates listeners of various genres. Elements of funk, Latin American, folklore merge into the famous jazz, creating a new musical world. It is interesting that this time we will see not one, but two Affolters on stage. Heinzas arrives in Lithuania with two musicians - drummer Dennis Blassnig and bassist Yannick Affolter, who is his son. The musician named his trio "Appletree". As the musician found out, the English word "apple" is the historical basis of Affolter's last name. At the same time, it is also symbolic - since he is playing in the band with his son, it will be possible to see on stage whether "apples come from apples". "I am happy that I can return to my good friends. Kaunas and Lithuania will always occupy a special place in my heart," says the musician.
