About the orchestra:
The Symphony Orchestra of the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts was established in 2002. This is a continuation of the famous strings of the famous string orchestra, founded by former Professor Saulius Sondeckis, winning the prestigious H. von Karajan competition.
Since the establishment of the Symphony Orchestra, he has been led by Maestro Martynas Staškus, conductor of the National Opera and Ballet Theater.
The programs prepared by the orchestra were repeatedly performed by the Vilnius National Philharmonic and other big scenes, and the tour routes reached foreign halls.
The 13th International M.K. Čiurlionis Music Festival is part of the Čiurlionis 150 anniversary program.
