We probably all know that the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a child prodigy: under the careful tutelage of his father Leopold, also a musician, little Wolfgang, when he was only a few years old, performed in the palace of the Austrian emperors, part of his childhood was spent on tour, appearing in Italy, France, Germany. He also started composing very early, he was easily successful at it, and during his life he wrote a number of works, some of which are extremely popular, and we will hear them in this concert. The "Venetian" symphony of Mozart's contemporary, his so-called rival, the Italian composer Antonio Salieri, will also be played.
Composer Giedrius Kuprevičius has said: "Mozart's music has as many secrets as you listen to it. It, like the fairy tales read in childhood, opens up other meanings, other layers of thought with age, announces other questions and awaits different answers."
