When classical music meets pop and rock legends, a special synthesis is born - bold, unexpected and enchanting. In recent years, the world has been developing a tendency to combine classics with famous contemporary music songs. This results in unique projects that prove that classical music is boundlessly universal, and pop and rock hits, supplemented with classic sounds, shine with new colors.
One of the most prominent such projects in Lithuania is from Bach to Queen, the author and composer Vilija Mažitaitė, subtly cuts classical elements into legendary melodies. Bach to Queen will become an extraordinary evening, as two bright names of Lithuanian classical music - cellist David Dumčius and pianist Darius Mažintas - will meet here.
Last year, the project received a lot of interest and traveled to Lithuanian concert halls. This year, the project is renewed - you will hear new pieces where the topics of classics and contemporary hits intertwine in unexpected ways to create a special emotional atmosphere. The audience awaits special evenings:
December 3 - Kaunas State Philharmonic
December 11th - Panevezys Musical Theater
December 31 - Vilnius County A. Mickiewicz Public Library
In the program of the classical genius, Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and Vivaldi-will meet with pop and rock legends: Queen, Guns N 'Roses, Pink Floyd, A-HA, ABBA, The Beatles, Roxette, George Michael, Michael Jackson, Ozzy Osbourne, Sting, Survivor.
From rock hymns to sensitive ballads, from classical dramatism to pop light - this program is an invitation to a musical journey where era connects to one breath. It is more than a concert - an evening where nostalgia intertwines with a discovery, and music becomes a true center of the celebration.
