The Panevėžys Musical Theater invites you to a stylish jazz evening - the concert "SWING, ELLA, SWING!", where classic swing meets jazz improvisations and the live sound of an orchestra.
The program includes jazz music performed by a brass band: works by Mark Taylor, George Gershwin, Chick Corea, legendary songs by Ella Fitzgerald will be played. The evening program will be colored by solo parts performed by orchestra musicians, revealing individual mastery and the charm of jazz improvisation.
Vocalist Marija Monika Dičiūnė, stage name Mary Mo – jazz and R&B singer, head of the Jazz Department of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater will appear on stage together with the orchestra. Her soft, expressive voice easily travels between jazz tradition and modern sound, creating a close connection with the listener and giving the concert a special elegance.
The Panevėžys Musical Theater Wind Orchestra "Garsas", led by conductor Martynas Braž, is one of the most prominent wind orchestras in Aukštaitia. The group, which has been in existence for more than six decades, has become an important part of the cultural life of Panevėžys, performing music of various genres - from classical to jazz and contemporary compositions, performing concerts throughout Lithuania and beyond.
