Julija Lankė's project "Consonances of the Eras: Čiurlionis and the Present" is a creative reflection on how the genius of Čiurlionis sounds today. Music, painting, poetry and his contemporary perception of the world merge into one artistic space where time turns into harmony. On the occasion of the anniversary of this great Lithuanian artist, the project unites the musicians of Lithuania and Sakartvelo - countries whose cultures are close in spirit: they live in poetry, love of the land, respect for the roots and the pursuit of light.
It is no coincidence that Sulkans Cincadzes - an outstanding composer of the 20th century - is playing alongside Čiurlionis in this concert. the name of the Kartvelian composer. Both creators, although separated by time and space, spoke about the eternal - the beauty of the world, memory and the human soul searching for harmony in sounds.
This concert is a meeting of eras, cultures and hearts. It is a journey through time - from the mystical cosmos of Čiurlionis to the earthy, deep intonations of Cincadze, from the old roots of folklore to a new modern sound. It is a dialogue where music becomes the language of memory, inspiration and hope.
Young, talented and already well-known musicians from Lithuania and Sakartvelo have always been interested in the ethnic diversity of the modern world. Being regular participants in the World Music projects of Lithuanian composers, as well as collaborating with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, the Tbilisi Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, the Čiurlionis and Vardeli Quartets and many famous performers from various countries, they are constantly looking for real musical treasures. By boldly combining tradition and innovation, these artists open up folk music in new new forms of expression. Performing works of modern composers imbued with ethnic and folk motifs conveys to the listeners all the beauty of folk melodies. The fusion of folk and modern music, performed with a soft but rich timbre, a wide vocal range of the vocalists, accompanied by violin, keyboard and percussion sounds, creates unique soundscapes full of warmth and life.
