The solo pianist Rikke Sandberg (Denmark) Concert "Between Two Sea" is dedicated to two prominent creators - Mikaloji Konstantin Čiurlionis (150) and Carl Nielsen (160). Symbolically combining the Baltic and Northern Maritime Coats, the concert invites you on a trip between two artistic worlds full of expression, lyricism and national identity. The program will also feature Joseph Achron's music - a subtle spiritual connection between Jewish musical heritage and European classical traditions.
Rikke Sandberg is one of Denmark's most prominent pianists belonging to the elite of the country's musical life since the beginning of her studies in New York and Copenhagen. 2002 She made her debut as a soloist at the Soloist Class of the Royal Academy of Music of the Danish, and her exceptional musicality and interpretive peculiarity quickly gained international attention. The pianist is deeply immersed in the music performed, and her technical skills and artistic sensitivity make it suggestive to convey a wide repertoire, from early Baroque to contemporary music.
Rikke Sandberg has appeared as a soloist with many Danish orchestras and also performed with the Leipzig Chamber Orchestra. She recorded along with the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Luxembourg Philharmonic and South Jutland (Sønderjland) Symphony Orchestra. Her stage partners include the most prominent performers and conductors such as Sabine Meyer, Sergei Dogadin, Radek Baborák, Elsebeth Dreisig, Alondra de la Parra, John Storgårds, Håkan Hardenberger and Adam Fischer.
Recently, the pianist has published a solo CD with Johannes Brahms' works and a record with Herman D. Koppel's third concert for the piano (Danacord).
