The BIG CELEBRATION OF MUSICIANS is being held at the Palace of Lords on Tuesday, October 1. Inviting to celebrate World Music Day together, the Lithuanian Musicians' Union will award 2024 during the festive evening. GOLD DISC laureates. This year they were Rita Petrauskaitė (soprano), Paulius Anderssonas (piano), Neda Malūnavičiūtė (vocals, flute) and the Vilnius Sacred Music Choir "Adoramus", director dr. Imantas Jonas Šimkus. For the first time, the prize for lifetime achievement will be awarded to jazz pianist Povilas Jaramins.

Since 2001. The award established by the Lithuanian Musicians' Union is awarded every year to four representatives of music from different genres or fields. Among the winners of the "Golden Disk" are Violeta Urmana, David Geringas, Virgilijus Noreika, Antanas Smolskus, Saulius Sondeckis, Petras Bingelis. In recent years, singers Justina Gringytė, Aušrinė Stundytė, Liudas Mikalauskas, Aistė Pilibavičiūtė, instrumentalists Rūta Lipinaitytė, Daumantas Kirilauskas, Renata Marcinkutė-Lesieur, Aistė Bružaitė, Vilnius Bali Dvarion Ten-Year Music School Symphony Orchestra "Simfukai", manager and conductor Modestas Barkauskas have been awarded the LMS prize in recent years. , Boys and Youth Choir Äžuoliukas, conductor Vytautas Miškinis, Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra, conductor Algimantas Treikauskas, chief conductor Constantine Orbelian (USA), Choir of the National Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis School of Arts, conductor Romualdas Gražinis, Saulius Petreikis, folk rock group Žalvarinis, Capital Children and KIVI youth center choir, director Danguolė Aukselienė, double bass player Vytis Nivinskas.
