The Government Culture and Art Prize winner String Quartet Chordos presents the first concert cycle "Who am I?" The "Thread" program.
Who am I?
What shapes our identity - shadows of ancient myths and traditions, or the experiences of the present, intertwined with the echoes of long -standing experiences? Are we unique or more similar than we think?
Answers to these questions together invite the String Quartet Chordos, one of the country's oldest contemporary music performers, 2024. was awarded the Government Culture and Art Prize of the Republic of Lithuania. The new concert cycle Who am I? - It is a musical journey to the inner world of man, where past and present experiences are traveled into the fabric of our own, where uniqueness and human experience that units us, and the matured self -ruled voice, like a distinctive fabric pattern - sometimes silently intimate as a letter, and sometimes bright in general dialogue.
The cycle programs include the latest and most significant works of quartet and chamber music, including two worldwide premiere, and most of them will be live in Lithuania for the first time. Chordos will invite you to unexpected spaces of musical expression along with special stage partners: young and talented Arpinist Liucile U. Vilimaite, long -time quartet buddy, saxophonist Liudas Mockūnas, and his French colleague - electric guitar virtuoso Marc Ducret, created a new piece for this project.

This is an invitation to stop and ask yourself: Where do I come from? This issue opens the door to the inner universe, where, as in a lively DNA chain, the harmony of nature, reflections of culture and traditions, and challenges of being. Each piece here becomes a lively line leading through personal and collective experience, the intersection of the past and the present. Music will become a space where you can immerse yourself in your inner world, discover it new and hear yourself differently.
