On October 16, the Downtown Piano Lab (PC Europa) invites you to a special concert-dedication to the legendary Charlie Parker of Saxophonist Manvydas Pratkelis and his quartet. This is an evening with jazz classics. Manvydas Pratkelis is a professional saxophonist who graduated from a Master's degree in Jazz at the Royal Conservatoire of the Netherlands. He has given concerts in various European countries and Asia, participating in international festivals such as North Sea Jazz, Reykjavik Jazz, "dela Jazz" and "Vilnius Jazz". His repertoire includes both popular melodies and classic jazz pearls. Back in his studies, in 2010, he won the Vilnius Jazz Young Power competition with the duet Dauleau (along with drummer Jon Butvydas). Later, playing with the Big Band of the Hague Royal Conservatoire, he appeared at the prestigious North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam. In recent years, he has been active with his project Big Little Emotions Trio, and his work has been merged with jazz tradition and contemporary improvisational search. The percussion concert will take place in a new, stylish and acoustically precision space, which will provide the Meyer Sound system to ensure impeccable sound quality. Each note will sound here as if you were in the most intimate New York or London jazz club.
