Jan Maximowicz is an exceptional example of Lithuanian middle -generation jazz musicians. The rich sound, the wide technical capabilities and the vivid and unexpected musical phrasing distinguish it among other saxophonists. Adding great experience in the field of import music produces a stunning result - expressive, even theatrical and extremely deep and spiritual play, which opens the hearts, souls, thoughts of listeners. For the last few decades, Jan has been an active leader of several ensembles, and has also played as an invited musician with the most famous performers in the country. Jazz Cellar 11 club listeners are well -known and loved from concerts for John Coltrane. In his circle of cooperation - Tim Daisy, Vein Trio, National Symphony Orchestra and many more.
And his longtime partners, Lithuanian jazz craftsmen Eugenijus Kanevičius and drummer Arkady Gotesman will join this special concert to Jan's stage. They probably do not need to deliver them. They are some of the most active participants in the jazz scene, perhaps with all Lithuanian jazz and improvisational performers.
