Jan Maximovic is probably the only Lithuanian performer who can afford to do dedications to the big jazz innovator and legend - John Coltrane. Technical, deep, spiritual, bright, strong, musical - this is Jan Maksimovich on stage and will be played tonight for music not only to remember the spirit and message of Coltrane's music, but also to feel like his listeners felt. Together with Jan, one of the most prominent rhythm groups in Lithuania - Dmitrij Golovanov, Aliaksey Kryshtal and Arkady Gotesman - are undoubtedly one of the most prominent Lithuanian jazz scene.
John Coltrane is one of the most important jazz performers in jazz history. Although it was a relatively brief, it had a huge impact on jazz music and its development. His discoveries in musical language, in harmony, his entry into the development of styles and the development of spirituality, depth and serious jazz in the history of music are invaluable. And his saxophone sound and performance technique has become a new standard and highly raised by a cartel for the absolute majority of contemporary jazz saxophonists around the world.
