COLLABORATIVE JAZZ Septet is the only jazz septette in Lithuania to perform authentic Bebop and Hardbop era for music.
One of the best ways to improve as a musician or discover new directions of music is collaboration. Collaboration with fellow musicians or other artists. And the more quality collaborations, the better. Of course, many artists understand and actively use this concept of creation, but the most important thing is to keep in mind its importance and artistic significance in everyday life. Donatas Petreikis and Karolis Šarkus, good friends, performers, multi-intestrumers and composers, also understood this. Both of them have been familiar for several years, during which they have listened to and discussed a lot of music, discussed saxophonist topics, and shared their music. All of this always stayed within the studio and did not go public.
Finally, both performers have already accumulated sufficient music knowledge, combined strength and, out of love for the jazz tradition, reached the light of day "Collaborating Jazz Septet". Carol and Donatas made music and put it with the collective on an album that was released in digital format on November 1, 2020. In the summer of 2021, the album was presented live in six cities of Lithuania. In 2022, the band released the second album and vinyl record "That Grove", which can also be found in the form of video on the platform on YouTube.
