Jazz Cellar 11 presents a new format - the Future Now concert, designed to present young jazz artists who are already shaping the young Lithuanian jazz market and will undoubtedly shape it in the future. At the first Future Now concert, you will hear two active jazz soloists - vocalist Nikas Zundelovič and saxophonist Romualdas Karžinauskas. They will be assisted by the talented pianist Anton Cifirov and two guests and fellow students from Italy.
Giuseppe De Nisi is an Italian drummer who completed jazz percussion studies in Italy. He has attended masterclasses with Joe La Barbera, Dave Weckl, Jojo Mayer, Diego Pinera, Eddie Gomez and Nicola Angelucci. With a solid musical foundation and an ever-growing creative vision, Giuseppe has played at various Italian jazz festivals. He stands out for his universal approach and ability to combine jazz, pop/rock and Latin American influences, constantly searching for new musical horizons.
Giuseppe Lanzo is a young Italian double bassist and bassist who has participated in several jazz festivals in Italy. He improved in master classes with Dado Moroni, Eddie Gomez, Enrico Pieranunzi, Giovanni Mazzarino, Joe La Barbera and many other important names in the world of music. Giuseppe likes to experiment with different musical styles, but he finds the deepest connection in the area of jazz.
Antonas Cifirovs graduated from the S. Šimkaus Conservatory in Klaipėda, he is currently studying computer science at Vilnius University, but he is not interested in music. He is a laureate of international piano competitions in Lithuania and abroad, has performed with various bands at the country's main jazz festivals, shared the stage with Vytautas Grubliauskas, Ukrainian Andrejs Chmuts, American expatriate jazz vocalist Nicole Zuraitis.
Romualdas Karžinauskas is a young generation jazz performer, composer and arranger. He has composed music for big band, chamber ensembles and solo saxophone. Romualdo's work is characterized by a modern, open approach, but he remains faithful to the aesthetics of traditional jazz. Spiritual, sensitive, deep and musical, this year he became the Grand Prix laureate of the 6th national Petros Vyšniauskas competition. Romualdas actively participates in the Lithuanian jazz and musical scene and, despite his young age, has already played at the country's most important jazz festivals.
Nika Zundelovič is a contemporary jazz composer and vocalist born in Israel, who graduated from Ironi Alef jazz department in Tel Aviv and Vilnius college. She has already performed with large ensembles at the Birštonas Jazz 2024, Supernova Jazz Blast 2023 (DK) and Škiuņa Džezs 2023 (LV) festivals, and she also leads the international ensembles Zundelovič/Tsapenko/Panek, Il Quintetto Dei Sogni and DIGGING INDIGO. in 2025 created, directed and produced the avant-garde jazz musical play What The Void Feels Like.
