A new and certainly somewhat intriguing trio will appear on the Jazz Cellar 11 club stage. Liudas Mockūnas, one of the country's most famous saxophonists, who is deservedly titled the ambassador of Lithuanian jazz, is a rare and always very welcome guest on the club stage. Performing on prestigious foreign stages and concert halls more often than in Lithuania, Liudas Mockūnas has released countless albums, and each of his performances is an event worthy of attention.
But this time she will be accompanied on stage by two young partners. Bassist Deividas Skridaila - who graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, is already quite well known in the free and improvisational music community for his creativity and collaboration with masters. This year he became the Grand Prix winner of the Vilnius Jazz Young Power competition.
Drummer Povilas Mockūnas - son of Liud, is taking his first steps on the path of a musician's career, but don't be fooled, his young age speaks of his talent, and next to more experienced musicians, he gains momentum of development. We have no doubt that we are in for a very interesting and engaging evening.
