Dixieland "DixXband" transports listeners with its rhythmic performances to the streets of New Orleans, Chicago, where traditional jazz, Dixieland, swing and its variations originated.
Kaunas Dixieland "DixXband" is welcomed and appreciated not only by fans of Lithuanian but also foreign jazz festivals. The list of their performances includes the prestigious Dresden Dixielands Festival (2023), Kaunas Jazz Stage (2023) and dozens of other jazz festivals. Having held their first performance at the Kaunas Philharmonic in 2003, soon after that they recorded their first CD on Lithuanian radio and television, entitled "The Right Music Dose". in 2008 At the jazz festival held in Biršton, the group also recorded the second song - "SingSwing" live.
in 2007 at the "Euro Jazz" festival-competition held in Kaunas, Dixieland was awarded the "Gand Prix" prize for the performance of the European Union anthem in the "New Orleans Jazz" style, the arrangement of which was written by Rimantas Giedraitis, and won the audience's sympathy.
