Calleja quickly became one of the most recognized and coveted today's tenor. His winning contests, wide discography and performances in the world's most important opera theaters and concert scenes encouraged him to be selected as a performer of the year.
J. Calleja has sung more than 30 solo parties, among others - Kavaradosi (Toska), Jose (Carmen), Hofman (Hofman's History), Faust, Alfred (Traviata), Duke (Rigoletas), Edgar Adorn (Simon Bokanegra) in New York, Chicago, Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Paris, Vienna, London, Naples and other opera theaters. 2017 The singer was invited to participate in the Metropolitan Opera's 50th anniversary celebration and featured the world's best opera soloists.
J. Calleja also cooperates with pop artists and rock artists. In Malta, he hosts spectacular open -air concerts. As a celebrity of the native land, 2012 Mr Calleja was elected the first ambassador of Malta culture. Recently, the singer, along with Malta Valletta Bank, founded Bov Joseph Calleja Foundation to help children and families who need help.
