The tandem of Brazilian violinist Guido Felipe Sant'Anna e Silva, winner of the Fritz Kreisler Violin Competition, and conductor Martyn Stakionis, already familiar to the listeners of the Philharmonic, returns to the stage of the Philharmonic with a program of French music, which will begin with Claude Debussy's symphonic prelude "Afternoon of the Faun", a work that can be safely called the standard of French impressionism.

Next in the concert program is French romantic Ernest Chausson's Poem for Violin and Orchestra, Op. 25, is one of the most famous, beautiful and most loved works by the composer himself, which he originally named "Triumphant love song". Later, the "Gypsy" by the French impressionist Maurice Ravel for violin and orchestra will not only bring a rhapsodic temperament to the concert program, but will also allow the young violin virtuoso to demonstrate his astonishing mastery.

The concert will end with the Austrian composer Franz Schreker's Chamber Symphony, which follows the tradition of modern music from the era of C. Debussy and M. Ravel, primarily - the ideas of the patriarch of Austrian modernism, Arnold Schönberg. The work dedicated to the centenary of the Vienna Academy of Music is composed from the musical material of the composer's unrealized opera "Skambančias sferos". This is probably the most famous work of F. Schreker.
