The Čiurlionis Quartet, which always comes up with original thematic programs, this time invites you... to discover America again! To try to shake off the Eurocentric perception of academic music and grasp the vector of the opposite direction - towards the origins of American music. As the member of the quartet, Gediminas Dačinskas, says, Bach's efforts to "harness" European music fashions with the refinements of the Protestant chorale, echoing through the centuries, will echo here with the echoes of unexpectedly sounding American hymns.
