This mid-spring evening invites you to experience the stories of passionate love and death, love and the sea with the sounds of music, with the finale spinning into the impressive whirl of waltzes from Richard Strauss's opera "Rose Cavalier". The Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, led by the charismatic trampoline master Victoriens Vanoosten, will begin the concert with Richard Wagner's 1859. created with fragments of the opera "Tristan and Isolde" - it is a tragic song of unhappy love, which, according to the author, opens up the "depths of spiritual experiences". Her music reveals the various shades of love between the two main characters.
Together with the soloist, baritone Modest Sedlevičius, the vocal cycle of the French composer Ernest Chausson "Poem of Love and the Sea" will be heard - the work stands out for its poetic nature, the images that inspired the artist emerge in the consonance of the sounds - the delicate blue of the oil, the sea and the sky, the falling leaves blown by the wind and the air saturated with the aroma of flowers. With this symbolic composition, Chausson conveys the world of man, his feelings and experiences.
At the time when in 1893 After the premiere of Love and the Sea Poem, Claude Debussy began writing his only opera, Peleus and Melisande, an impressionist mystical musical drama full of light and shadow. Tonight we will hear an opera suite arranged by conductor V. Vanoosten.
Concert soloist, laureate of various competitions, M. Sedlevičius is one of the brightest singers of his generation, creating roles in various European theaters and having already accumulated a considerable repertoire. In addition to opera, the soloist also appears on concert stages, performing cycles such as "Songs of the Traveling Apprentice" by G. Mahler, "Poet's Love" by R. Schumann, "Winter Journey" by F. Schubert and other opus.
