"The Singing Power of the Baltic States" is a concert where the most beautiful opus of composers from the Baltic region come together, conveying the traditions of their countries with musical sounds, and at the same time embodying the common spirit of the Baltic region.
The concert program will feature the most prominent works of Finnish, Norwegian, Lithuanian, Estonian, Danish, and Welsh composers for choir and orchestra, each of which tells an evocative memorable story. These works will be performed not only by well-known Lithuanian ensembles, but also by guests from Switzerland - the Zurich Chamber Choir, which is famous for its extremely harmonious sound, led by maestro André Fischer.
A. Fischer is regularly invited to conduct in Zurich's famous Tonhalle. His repertoire includes extremely monumental works such as Johannes Brahms's "German Requiem", Franz Schubert's Mass in A major and E flat major, the famous Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Requiem" and others. Arriving in Lithuania, A. Fischer also prepares works by two Lithuanian composers (M. K. Čiurlionis and Ž. Martinaitytė).
