In 2025 we celebrate a special anniversary-this year, the most prominent Lithuanian artist Mikalojus Konstantin Čiurlionis (1875-1911) is 150 years old. The program of the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra (artistic director and chief conductor Gintaras Rinkevičius) and the choir "Young Music (Artistic Director Vaclovas Augustinas)).

The first part of the concert is rarely performed by M. K. Čiurlionis' harmonized folk songs, organically intertwined with contemporary Lithuanian composers - Gintautas Venislovas (b. 1973), Jurgita Mieželytė (b. 1980), Vaclovas Augustinas (born 1959) 1979) - works. The second part of the concert will feature M. K. Čiurlionis' most famous musical works - the symphonic poem "In the Forest" and "Sea", and the beginning of all Lithuanian national symphony music.

Together with the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra conducted by maestro Gintaras Rinkevičius, the Choir "Young Music", led by conductor and composer Vaclovas Augustinas, will perform in the LVSO Concert Hall tonight. Young Music is one of the most prominent and powerful vocal groups in Lithuania, the winner of 15 international choir competitions, preparing for concerts in his country and abroad. During more than 35 years, the choir has accumulated a variety of and valuable repertoire, where the works from A cappella, the masterpieces of vocal-intest music to important premieres. Contemporary works of foreign and Lithuanian composers play an important role in "Young Music" choral programs.
