Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra
conductor Gintaras Rinkevičius
Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra led by artistic director and chief. Conductor Maestro Gintaras Rinkevičius, along with piano virtuoso Alexander Paley, presents an exclusive concert cycle: five special evenings with all the most famous of the 19th century. Piano virtuoso, composer and educator Anton Rubinstein (1829-1894) for piano and orchestra concerts.
A. Rubinstein, who was born in Moldova in Moldova, received his first piano lessons from his mother. A little later he heard him and began to teach him a prominent pianist and educator Alexander Villaing. At the age of 9, Mr Rubinstein had already organized his first public shows, and at the age of 11, Frédéric Chopin, Franz Lisz and Felix Mendelssohn performed in Paris. In 1854, at the age of 24, Rubinstein organized a four-year concert tour in Europe, which very quickly established his name as a completely mature pianist virtuoso and a widely regarded composer. Ignas Moscheles wrote after one of the concerts of this tour what later became a universal opinion about Rubinstein: "He is not subordinate to anyone with power and performance." Tonight, Mr Paley will begin the first concert by the composer, dedicated to A. Rubinstein's main piano teacher A. Villoing, a series of concerts of Mr Rubinstein. 1850 The written concert is considered the most traditional of all five, but at the same time retains the virtuosity of the piano line, which is typical of A. Rubinstein. 1813 The premiere of the work in Vienna did not leave indifferent - the symphony of critics was called "one of the melodically richest, most attractive and most understandable" "Van Beethoven Symphony. The seventh symphony is a striking example of L. van Beethoven's viability - despite the composer's imminent firing, the work is imbued with an uneducated enthusiasm and optimism.
