Ukrainian violinist Dmytro Udovychenko started his musical career at the age of five, and today he is already one of the brightest performers of the young generation. He studied at the Kharkiv Specialized Music School, then studied at the Folkwang University of Arts in Essen, and from 2022. continues his studies at the prestigious Kronberg Academy in Germany. D. Udovychenko earned exceptional evaluations on the international stage: in 2024 he won the prestigious Queen Elizabeth International Competition in Belgium in 2023. – Montreal International Violin Competition, 2022 - International Singapore Violin Competition, in the same year he became the laureate of the Jan Sibelius Violin Competition. His previous achievements are the second place and the Audience Award in 2018. Joseph Joachim Competition in Hanover, as well as second place in 2017. at the Jaschos Heifetz competition held in Vilnius. In the LVSO concert hall, D. Udovychenko will play Robert Schumann's (1810-1856) Violin Concerto in D minor - one of the composer's last significant works, today regarded as a gem of late romanticism full of emotional depth and inner dramatic tension.

In the second part of the concert, the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra will perform Franz Schubert's (1797–1828) Ninth Symphony, also known as the "Great". It is one of the most significant works of the famous Austrian romantic, which was premiered only more than a decade after the composer's death. The piece testifies to L. van Beethoven's deep influence: although L. van Beethoven lived in F. Schubert's hometown of Vienna all the younger composer's life, the latter never dared to meet his greatest authority.

This evening, the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by a maestro from Germany, the music director of the Münster Theater (Germany) Golo Berg.
