Finnish music star Käärijä will perform in Vilnius
Finnish rapper, singer and songwriter Käärijä will hold his concert in Vilnius in the fall of 2026. Käärijä, whose real name is Jere Mikael Pöyhönen, grew up in the suburbs of Vantaa. He felt a passion for music while learning to play the drums, and started composing in his twenties. Käärija's debut album "Fantastista" came out in 2020.
The world got to know more about this expressive and energetic performer in 2023, when Käärijä won the national selection for Eurovision with the rhythmic piece "Cha Cha Cha" and represented Finland at the contest in Liverpool. Although the artist took second place in the overall standings, Käärija's song scored the highest number of points in the audience vote - as many as 376. "Cha Cha Cha" climbed to the 7th place on Spotify's global song chart and became the most listened to Finnish-language song of all time.
Käärijä doesn't hide that his work was greatly influenced by the group "Rammstein", the artist even has a tattoo of them on his chest. He has won five Emma Gaala Awards (the Finnish equivalent of the Grammys) and an MTV Europe Music Award.
In Käärija's concerts you can hear not only "Cha Cha Cha", but also his other hits - "Ruoska", "TRAFIK!", "#eurodab", as well as the track "It's Crazy It's Party", recorded together with the Estonian artist Tommy Cash. The Lithuanian audience already had the chance to see that Käärijä creates a real party on stage - his performance at the festival "Granatos Live 2024" became a real sensation and received extremely positive feedback from visitors.
2026 promises to be a real year of triumph for Käärii: his concert in Helsinki's Veikkaus Arena in May is almost sold out, and the tour includes as many as 24 concerts in 15 European countries. The artist promises that this tour will be particularly ambitious and impressive compared to the 2023 and 2024 tours.
