The Music Magic Club has repeatedly invited to meetings where sight and sound work together, allowing you to experience art more deeply. The essence of these evenings is concentration: on one sight, one sound, one moment.
In October of last year, an evening of synergy between music and oil paintings was successfully held, revealing how strongly different arts can complement each other. This time, a similar experience continues, but the gaze turns in a different direction - to photography.
The evening will be dedicated to one author - photographer Ludo Segers. As a musician interprets a musical score, so Ludo interprets the worn surface of a wall, the falling light in a concert hall or the frozen flight of a cormorant in Juodkrante. He is not interested in the moment itself, but what lies behind it - the "warmth of the moment", the emotional integrity that often slips past the hasty eye.
During this very interesting meeting Ludo's photographs will be shown, and each of them will be accompanied by a specially selected piece of music that will accompany the image throughout its duration. The music here acts as an equal part of the experience, helping to bring out the mood within the frame.
As in previous evenings of this format, the combinations of music and photography can be unexpected, but this is what opens up the opportunity to discover new sensations, break free from stereotypes and expand the boundaries of perception.

Ludo Segers is a photographer, journalist and educator who explores the intersection of history, power and atmosphere in his work. During his career, he has captured with his lens persons in the highest positions of power - from the Obama and Biden White Houses to the Elysée Palace in France or the royal palaces in Norway and the Netherlands. However, as he himself says, the soul of his work lies "in the silence between the frames".
Stylist Véronique Lejeune once wondered if Ludo was a photographer or a philosopher, and concluded that he was. and that. in 2017 due to his extremely high visual literacy competencies, Ludo was invited to MoMA (New York's Museum of Modern Art) to become a mentor for the course "Seeing Through Photographs". There, Ludo helped hundreds of students from all over the world learn how to "read" images and develop a new, critical perspective.
Capturing the hazy calm of the Baltic countries or the UNESCO-protected beguinage of Flanders, Ludo searches for the point where silence becomes strength. He combines the discipline of a scheduler, the rigor of a journalist and the eclectic ear of a jazz lover to create a cinematic narrative. Ludo Segers treats each of his photos as an object of "forensic" analysis - he strives for a moment when photography is no longer just a record of the past, but turns into a living, engaging narrative.
