The evening for the extraordinary Baroque creators Barbora Strozzi-her sensual music will be performed by mecosoprano Renata Dubinskaitė and harpsichord Vaiva Eidukaitytė-Storatienė.Barok-virtuoso and composer Barbara Strozzi (1619-1677) Italian music makers, who contributed significantly to the development of a new genre of music - Cantata - and printed as many as 8 collections of his works - more than the most famous composers of that time. In absolutely men's dominant society, this brave woman was able to become a unique creator whose musical visions and after many centuries excited listeners. In her cantats and arias, as if in mini operas, her extremely emotional, melodious and dramatically conveyed love experiences - unexpected dissonances, sudden jumps, dynamic episodes change, and contrasting moods engage the listener in the real drama of feelings.
The program of Baroque singer Renata Dubinskaitė presents the work of B. Strozzi in detail. It is complemented by the singer's stories about the life of the composer, introducing listeners to this inspiring and talented woman. 2021 Together with the ensemble Canto Fiorito, she recorded the solo album "Barbara Strozzi. La Voce Sola" released by Brilliant Classics, a record company in the Netherlands, broadcast BBC Radio, France Musique, US and Australian radio. Renata Dubinskaitė, a mecosoprano, is one of the most prominent Baroque musicians in Lithuania. She is the main soloist of the international old music ensemble Canto Fiorito, producer of this ensemble and Kretinga Old Music Festival, as well as concert programs and singer of Duo Barocco and Lux Maris. She has performed with the Ensemble I Gemelli (France) in prestigious concert halls such as Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Barcelona's Palau de la Musica Catalana, Seville and EXO Opera, with the ensemble Canto Fiorito ensemble sang solo reusage and concerts, Namuro, Oslo, Trondheim, Salzburg, Vienna, Brighton, Rostok and other European cities. The singer has prepared a number of Baroque opera images.
Vaiva Eidukaitytė-Strastienė, harpsichord. Graduate of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater (LMTA), artist aspirant, researcher of ancient music. The performer was developing at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater at the LMTA, the Musicians' Support Foundation and the International Music Music Courses in the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater, the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in France. V. Eidukaitytė-Strastienė performs a lot of concerts in Lithuania and abroad with various chamber and old music ensembles, orchestras, soloists, etc., and regularly participates in festivals. She is a member of the AFFECTUS ensemble, and since 2010 is the harpsichord of the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra.
