April 30 St. In St. Catherine's Church, a special evening full of violin music is waiting for the audience, related to the 20th anniversary of professor Rūta Lipinaitytė's pedagogical activity. We invite you to the concert "Musical Bridges", which combines the musical paths of the teacher and students, Lithuanian and Ukrainian traditions, classical and contemporary music. This concert will bring together talented pupils and students of the professor - laureates of international competitions, bright violinists of the young generation, who are connected by a common musical path. The professor herself, violinist Rūta Lipinaitytė, will also attend the concert. The program reflects what has long become an integral part of Rūta Lipinaitytė's activities - a strong emphasis on Lithuanian music and attention to current Ukrainian musical culture. Therefore, next to the three widely recognized, effective and virulent opuses of Gershwin, Saint-Saëns and Ravel, which easily captivate the audience, the concert of Vidmantas Bartulis will be played, which the professor will perform together with her student Saule Buikaite and pianist Egle Kižyte-Ramoniene. The Lithuanian premiere will also be performed at the concert: a piece by Rapolos Venckaus for four violins and string orchestra is created especially for this evening. The young composer and violinist, also a student of R. Lipinaitytė's class, will play together with his colleagues. The program will also feature Ukrainian composer Taras Zdaniuk's "Ukrainian Carnival", whose title and musical language directly testify to the living Ukrainian tradition. Together with St. The Kristoforos Chamber Orchestra (conductor Modestas Barkauskas) will feature violinists Saulė Buikaitė, Dovydas Čiplys, Vaiga Dainavičiūtė, Aleksas Filipenkovas, Ugnė Krikščiūnaitė, Kristijonas Pūtys, Monika Sapiegaitė, Rapolas Venckus, Timur Ernest Vilcans, pianist Eglė Kižytė-Ramonienė.
