On July 25th, the Midsummer Vilnius Jubilee Festival will be closed by Andrius Mamontovas' concert with the orchestra, conducted by Modestas Pitrėnas. Not only is it an impressive musical experience, it is also a symbolic farewell. It will probably be the last appearance of A. Mamontov with the orchestra.
This time, Andrew will bring his fans back to the orchestra to the unique world of music, where the summer "Open Air" feeling and energy will come together. "Listening to Andrius' music, you will want to dance and have fun because it will sound a lot of selfish energy. It will be a delicate balance between symphonic orchestral music and a party," says composer Jieras Jasinski, whose orchestral arrangements add to Mamontov's new colors.
It was at the Midsummer Vilnius Festival seven years ago that the idea was born. In 2018, Mamontov first performed the works of the album "North Night. Half Five" with the orchestra-it was an old dream that needed a special opportunity. The festival became the place where it turned into reality.
In the winter of the same year, the project reached its highest point - records took place in the legendary Abbey Road studio in London. It was not only another qualitative step, but also the fulfillment of one of Andrew's biggest dreams of life - an opportunity to record his music in the studio, where many albums that changed music were born.
They were followed by a great success tour of Lithuania, which brought together full arenas and proved the special strength of the music, which was connected to the orchestra. On this road, Andrew was accompanied by maestro Modestas Pitrėnas, whose relationship with his music is extremely close. He also conducted at Andrew's biggest solo career concert, Vingis Park, 2023.
"The songs with the orchestra take on the depth, new colors. They sound magnificent, flying," says Andrew. And the maestro Pitrėnas remembers one of the most prominent works of A. Mamontov: "The Light of the Come" was a kind of anthem, a state accompanied by a psychedelic cocktail, hormones inside ... Those memories, those songs still excite me than any opera. Such psychophysiological experiences, vibrations experienced in adolescence remain until the end of the Earth's journey… ”
This summer, this unique creative cycle will reach its culmination - the last time in the open air, on the festival scene in the heart of Vilnius.
