The festive program of the 10th "Midsummer Vilnius" festival will be opened by the global British star, Mercury Prize laureate - Benjamin Clementine.
On July 14, he will present his fourth and final album, Sir Introvert and the Featherweights, in the Great Courtyard of the Palace of Lords. This work marks an important change in the artist's career: a turn to cinema. Benjamin Clementine is subtly saying goodbye to music, making way for a new creative journey - at least for a while.
That is why this meeting of the artist with the fans on the "Midsummer Vilnius" stage will be very special. During the evening, the most famous songs of the artist, loved by the listeners, will be played. exciting, even hypnotic. Masterfully playing with a velvety voice and emotions, the artist creates unique performances, combining music, poetry and theater.
Benjamin Clementine's debut album At Least for Now (2015) won the Mercury Prize and received widespread acclaim for its unique avant-garde pop, a combination of soul and classical music.
True, the life of the creator himself is full of unexpected turns and challenges, like a movie. He began his career in Paris, playing on the streets and in small cafes. From his first concerts to performances in prestigious halls around the world, his career developed impressively.
After a successful career in music, Benjamin Clementine entered cinema - created roles in Dune and Blitz, starting a new creative phase.
