Juozas Grušas house-museum (a branch of the Maironis Museum of Lithuanian Literature) was established in Žaliakalny, Kaunas, where the Kaunas playwright, prose writer, translator, essayist Juozas Grušas lived and worked. The writer's house is a traditional homestead type, comfortably and rationally designed and planned by the writer himself. The writer's house was constantly full of intense creative life - gatherings of writers, painters, theater artists, the most famous dramas and short stories were created here, and the three Gruši children grew up here. The two largest rooms of the house were used for daily life, there was also a study and a living room. Along with the owners, the old furniture came to the house: a bookcase, a sideboard, a chest of drawers with mirrors, a wardrobe, lamps. Until now, the old interior of the rooms, works of art, and part of the library have been preserved. Kaunas Drama Theater in 1972. the performance based on the drama "Barbora Radvilaitė" by Juoz Gruš (directed by Jonas Juraš) was recognized as the performance of the century. Visitors to the museum are invited to view the specially equipped Barbora Hall and learn more about the drama productions in the theatrical exposition.
