Go on an educational trip through the little-known, but extremely interesting world of Klaipėda's history. At the end of the 18th century, as the ideas of humanism, freedom, equality and fraternity spread in Europe, they also reached Memel at that time. in 1776 February 23 The first freemason's lodge "Memphis" was founded in Klaipėda, bringing together the city's most famous merchants, officers, officials and intellectuals of various nationalities.
During the tour, you will learn what role freemasons played in the life of the city, what values they fostered and how their activities contributed to Klaipėda's cultural and social development. Although there are almost no visible traces of Masons left in the city today, their work, initiatives and mysterious stories remain an inseparable part of the port city's past.
