The museum in Utena was founded in 1929. Due to the changing times, few of the first exhibits have survived, but the values accumulated and preserved by enthusiasts for almost a century welcome visitors in six expositions: archeology, ethnography, old crafts and businesses, and the relics of old sculpture will appeal to history buffs, while the Utena city history exposition and the interactive educational terminal located here will involve both children and adults in experiential games. Two of the Museum's halls are designed for changing exhibitions, so every month you will be able to discover something new and unseen in the museum.
For an additional fee, you can order excursions or educational activities for families or small groups, in compliance with the restrictions imposed by the measures to prevent the covid-19 pandemic. .
Working hours: Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
