Exhibition "Vilnius Cinema"
The main goal of the organizers of the exhibition "Vilnius Cinema" is to show Vilnius as a cinema hero, a witness of time. A lot of footage was viewed - film chronicles of different years, documentaries, feature films and selected fragments showing various places in Vilnius - architectural heritage that no longer survives or is well-recognizable, courtyards of the old town, most of which have now become closed, different-looking Gediminas, Three Crosses mountains, new districts of the city that are loved by the younger generation of filmmakers
At the exhibition, you can familiarize yourself with films of various periods and genres that depict Vilnius. The exhibition is designed like a city labyrinth, through which you can get to know Vilnius from a different angle. Different themes are presented in seven halls: "Sacrum", "I live and love", "Vilnius", "Darkness and shadows", "Children's city", "From hand to hand" and "Free spirit". Each theme reveals the specificity of the city, its historical transformations, the lives of people of different nationalities in the old-new, sacred Vilnius, traditional holidays.
Exhibition "Wandering stars. Jewish Theater in Lithuania 1907–1943 "
In the exhibition, for the first time, a complete narrative of the Jewish theater in Lithuania is presented, showing not only iconographic exhibits, but through the whole of various exhibits, allowing a deeper look into the history and culture of the Jewish theater, revealing its internationality. The exhibition features over 150 unique exhibits: posters and programs of performances in Lithuanian and Yiddish languages, photographs, documents, especially important exhibits from the Vilnius Ghetto Archive. In order to create visitors' experiences, the exhibition uses various exhibition methods and technologies, light, sound and video installations.
During the exhibition, educational programs will be held for children, schoolchildren and families of various ages, providing the opportunity not only to be entertained, but also to learn about Yiddish. culture
