We invite you to an exclusive excursion-trip through the labyrinth of Chartres Cathedral, which you will find in St. Archangel Michael Church. Labyrinths reminiscent of ancient times are surrounded by riddles - they symbolize the path of tests and searches. In churches, depicted on the floor, they represent a pilgrimage to the Holy Land - the pilgrim had to overcome such a labyrinth with stumbling blocks.
During the excursion we will talk about pilgrimage. You will find out where the tradition of pilgrimage came from, why thousands of pilgrims decide to travel thousands of kilometers on foot. We will compare how a pilgrimage differs from a traditional one and tell what the pilgrims brought home from their travels. Together we will prepare for Jubilee 2025 - a special year of grace and pilgrimage in the Catholic Church.
Duration of the excursion - 1 hour.
After purchasing a visitor's ticket (8 EUR, with a discount - 5 EUR), the excursion is free.
