We all love the warmth and light of a candle flame. A candle as a symbol of God's light accompanies a person through life from baptism to death. And do we know that there is one day in the calendar when candles brought from home are celebrated in churches?
February 2. the Feast of the Sacrifice of Christ or Grabnyčiai is celebrated: the faithful hurry to the shrines and carry wax candles, which, after the priest has consecrated them, they keep at home and use only in special cases. You will learn everything about this old Catholic tradition and its origins, and why candles are so important in it, when you visit the Church Heritage Museum with your family. And during the practical session, you will try the "ice" way of making candles yourself.
