The Museum of Occupation and Freedom Fights is an impressive example of the dark heritage, inviting visitors to spend a meaningful leisure time, getting to know the difficult and tragic people of Lithuania in 1940-1991. during the period.
The building is known to many in the world as the former KGB Palace, and the people of Lithuania are a symbol of Soviet occupation.

The former KGB internal prison cameras, the death sentences in the premises and the former KGB officers' offices are introduced by modern expositions to the repression of the first Soviet occupation, the Holocaust in the Nazi occupation, 1944-1953. armed with anti -Soviet resistance, massive imprisonment of the population in camps and forced life in exile and active civic resistance to the Soviet occupation, which lasted since 1954. until 1991
