And it all started 450 years ago, when the Jesuit monks, who came to Vilnius and inspected the palace bought for them by the bishop, were happy: it was the third most beautiful in the city! During this time, the palace became even more beautiful, filled with stories, memories and discoveries.
For what offenses were students sent to solitary confinement? Why was the street next to the university once paved with wooden cobblestones? How many books from the famous library of King Žygimantas Augustus, bequeathed to the university, actually reached it? How many Johns can St. John's Church? Whose tomb is decorated with the most beautiful sarcophagus in the Faculty of Philology? And where else are the signs of the zodiac decorating the walls of the observatory, the mythical world of ancient Lithuanians in the low-key Aisčiai art and the proof of the eternal love of physicists for philologists - a monument to love.
