The writer created a true Lithuanian epic, reborn in musical format, by combining the novel's form and the rich legacy of folklore.
The musical performance "Baltaragis Mill" is the eternal struggle between good and evil, about human and devil's struggle for his soul and a happy life, intertwined with the romantic love story of Girdvainis and Jurga. Supernatural phenomena, spells, evil forces overcome the fragile nature of man.
In this performance, as in folklore, special attention is paid to the devil's character - it seems that all life revolves around him. And did anyone think why Pinchuk did this? What are the motives of his behavior? Pinchuk's character in the performance is not treated as a hostile and destructive force, not as an embodiment of evil, but as a young man who, because of his or her otherness, loneliness or character, is humanized, demonized, and attracted to the boundaries of society.
It is a human drama, a struggle with the nel, which primarily symbolizes the sisific struggle with destiny. After all, human life is often ruled by strangers, alien, even hostile forces that mortals cannot overcome.
