"All About Men" is a comedy-drama (tragi-comedy) that explores themes of male identity, relationships, emotions, loneliness and friendship. The performance is like a mosaic that, in the form of humor, reveals male psychology and men's attempts to meet society's expectations, to be "tough", strong, rational. The play also reveals the theme of male loneliness, when we can feel the deep sadness hidden under the surface of humor. In the play, three actors play four roles each - from businessmen to lovers, from fathers to sons, from best friends to enemies. Each scene is a separate story that allows you to look at the men from different perspectives.
About the play and the author:
Miro Gavran's play "All About Men" (Croatian: "Sve o merksima") is one of the most famous comedies of the contemporary Croatian writer Miro Gavran. It was written in the year 2000 and has since been staged in many countries, gaining international acclaim for its sharp humor, human insight and universal themes. Miro Gavran (Miro Gavran, born 1961) is a contemporary Croatian writer, playwright, known and loved all over the world. The success of his work is simply amazing - his works have been translated into 35 languages, and his books have received one and a half hundred editions all over the world. M. Gavrano's plays were staged by more than 200 theaters, and more than two million spectators visited his performances.
