The performance is based on the novel of B. Sruoga's novel "The Forest of the Gods," revealing the experiences of the 2nd World War in the concentration camp of Stuthov (Poland).
Without moving away from the original text and maintaining an ironic tone of narrative (the structure uses stand-up comedy elements), the performance depicts the relationship between supervisors and prisoners, the camp hierarchy, the debilitating work, the poor household and the punishment of human dignity.
The author and director of the play Agnė Sunklodaitė, based on the successful creative experience and the theater of puppet and objects the theater of the theater, discuss the fundamental questions about human nature: what is humanity? Where is the boundary between humanity and humanity? Are we still able to understand the horrors of the Holocaust today and remain alert so that similar things do not happen again?
According to the creators of the performance, today the "Forest of the Gods" by B. Sruoga is more relevant. People tend to forget the big history lessons.
