In the mono-performance "When you really want to live, but you don't know how", actress Emilija Latėnaitė embodies four characters from different eras, countries and social backgrounds who are searching for their identity. Their situations reveal that times are changing, but the most important questions that arise for a person remain the same.

The original characters were based on real historical figures, but after that I wanted to keep it just for me - as a source of inspiration. Because I don't have the goal of recreating an accurate historical documentary and conveying it. For me, history is a way, a tool to realize that you are just a part of a continuum. It's easy to get lost, to think it's just me. There were many before me, and after me, it is necessary to do so that there are many left... This is what history is about.
