Thirty -two years, after inviting Kretinga, the comedy festival "Cancer Jukā" is changing its format. This year we are looking forward to the theater festival "The Muses Hall".
Not only the title has changed - the event will take place more than one day, as usual, but three and, instead of three -four performances, will be shown as many as five, different genres.
.But theater lovers will be offered not only quantity but also quality. Of the five shows, three were in the top ten of the best Lithuanian amateur theaters (out of almost a hundred participants), while others, with great success, are shown at various festivals. The festival will be started by Utena residents with a performance about "themselves in art and art in themselves". The play will introduce the viewer's invisible side of the creative process, which is not always so beautiful.
The Russian -speaking Klaipeda Jewish Community Theater will tell the sensitive story of the Holocaust about feminine and maternal love. The performance "To me a terrible world that is not you ..." is dedicated to the Lithuanian Jewish Rescue Day.
Comedy fans - Telšiai and Kaunas residents - will follow the best traditions of the National Theater, will be not forgotten and will tell you about the collision with the other world and its characters.
.And the festival will be completed by the hosts with their latest work - A. Škėma's drama "One and the other", studying human behavior in a danger situation.
Time for change! We trust International Theater Day differently! Until the meeting at the Musa Hall!

The performance of Telšiai Žemaitė Drama Theater “Cancer Kremėimaėlis”, according to the play “The Devil in the Trap” by Žemaitė and G. Petkevičaitė-Bitė
Director Donatas Žilinskas
This play and M. Palionis' one -action comedy "The Glend Galni Tail" are the first performances to play publicly in Telšiai, in the second of August 1907, in the empty barracks on the Mast coast under the Parciunkule.
The performance of the performance takes place in the peasant's yard, which may seem commonplace, but it still has strange incidents, influenced by the superstitious attitudes of the characters to strange events. However, not all characters are superstitious, some are just using excessive superstition. In addition to everyday work, hints of love, suspicion, and non -licensed emotions, the detective elements are developed throughout the performance.
The performance is played in the Samogitian dialect.
