An evening of hope with the art therapy performance "The Undefeated".
The event is intended to support the treatment, rehabilitation and daily care of 19-year-old Raminta.
Raminta (19 years old) is a very young mother who is currently fighting an aggressive osteosarcoma of the femur. After a complex operation, she is undergoing intensive chemotherapy and has a long road of treatment and rehabilitation ahead of her.
Raminta lost her father when she was a teenager, and her mother could no longer take care of her due to difficulties, so the girl was sheltered and raised by her aunt. It was the first big stage of life that required a lot of maturity and strength.
Today, Raminta is raising her almost two-year-old daughter alone, who is her biggest inspiration to fight. She is supported by her life partner and his family during this difficult period. Six people live in one apartment, so opportunities and resources for their daily life are very lacking.
Due to the illness, Raminta did not have the opportunity to study and work - her days became hours of constant struggle.
Today, she needs all of our help to continue her treatment, get back on her feet and take care of her daughter.
The collected funds will be used for Raminta's treatment, rehabilitation, medicine, nursing care and necessary recovery expenses.
Raminta's struggle is real. It is happening here and now.
Such stories often remain behind closed doors - quietly lived between treatment visits, worries about tomorrow and the small victories of everyday life.
We invite you to open that silence and hear what is difficult to say in words.
This is precisely why the art therapy play "The INVITED" was chosen - a work in which real people talk about what really hurts, scares, hurts, but at the same time gives light and hope.
It's not just a show.
It is an encounter with life as it is - fragile, sensitive, but full of strength to move forward.
The art therapy performance "The Invincibles" is a drama and dance performance based on the true stories of oncology patients, dealing with the fragile theme of existence. In the performance, the principles of art therapy and the experiences of five patients are subtly intertwined. It is a story of real oncology patients' experiences, in which love, fear, loss and hope are interwoven into one powerful story.
Each story is a testament to human struggle, loss, dreams and rebirth, relatable to anyone who has ever searched for light in the dark.
The director of the play, Aušra Žukaitė-Kupčiūnienė, who has been working with sick people for many years according to the theater therapy model created by the Swiss, while creating the "Teatra of Experiences", accepted the proposal/invitation of the initiator of the play, Virginijus Šaulis, to apply the same principles to this theater stage. It is art therapy that helps to let go of fears, forgive oneself and look at life more sensitively. True stories. Real emotions.
All this is conveyed on stage by the actors of the National Kaunas Drama Theater: Ugnė Žirgulė, Ridas Žirgulis and the representative of the young, still growing generation, Nika Šilova. Kaunas State Musical Theater dancers Gintaras Visockis, Ana Buchovskaja-Zamulskienė.
The show's choreographer Gintaras Visockis subtly conveys the emotions accompanying the stories of real patients with the language of dance, light and musical twists.
The goal of this work is not to surprise with directorial decisions, but to create moments and states that heal inner pains.
It is a journey through pain, liberation and hope - the viewer not only observes, but also recognizes himself.
The Mazeikiai Rotary Club "Liberta" and the Mazeikiai Oncology Hospital Association "Sveik veik" join forces so that support and hope reach those who need it most. The association of oncology patients "Sveik veik" cooperates with one of the largest umbrella non-governmental organizations POLA, which represents the interests of oncology patients.
