The creative team, created by the contemporary play by Martin Bellemare, is openly and sensitive to the right, life and death of the choice.
The stage is one of the most prominent Lithuanian actors - Dainius Gavenonis and his stage and life partner Rasa Samuolytė. Their duo is complemented by the talented young generation actor Laurynas Jurgelis, Aleksas Kazanavičius and Žygimantė Jakštaitė, as well as Greta Petrovskytė, Vaidas Vilius and Nerijus Milerius.
The performance raises a question close to everyone: do we have the right to change the decision of a loved one if he or she chooses death?
The action takes to a neat, organic, strict structure society where every citizen has the right to decide when and how to end his life. History is in a family circle where tolerance and respect becomes both the greatest strength and a heavy burden. Family cell is a reflection of our society.
The performance "Freedom" was first presented in 2021. At the Sirena International Theater Festival, where it received exceptional attention from Lithuania and foreign experts. Today, he not only continues his journey on the stage of the Lithuanian National Drama Theater, but also goes to other cities of Lithuania.
It is not only a performance, but a deep experience that will make you stop, think and look at the topics we often avoid. Freedom is an emotional survival and experience.
