The "Dressor" invites you to move to England in the 1940s and take a look at the tragicomic evening of the actor Sir and his dressman Norman. The era of World War II marks the end of the era of the collectives of Shakespeare's works - young people outgoing to the warfare are abandoned by troupes, and the shortage of actors becomes a challenge for the chief actor and theater presenter. Sir is one of them. While the bombs are flying over the theater, and the actor who has been sick is hardly catching in his environment, Norman, a longtime Sir assistant, determined to keep the theater, but is it destined to succeed?
The performance invites you to take a look at the romantic backstage of the theater and listen to the conversations and blaties of wit, humor and deep love for the theater. It is a crazy funny and touched work to this day, considered one of the most magnificent portraits of life in the theater.
The play "Draftsman", a British playwright, screenwriter and actor, Sir Ronald Harwood, has been reigning for forty years in the theaters of the world. Both the play and its productions have won many prizes, including the prestigious Laurence Olivier award. In 1983, the awards were particularly recognized and awards. Petter Yates's film "Dressor" and 2015 Anthony Hopkins and Ian McKellen created the roles of Sir and Norman in Ritchard Eyre's film.
The Lithuanian theater audience was first introduced by director Algirdas Latėnas with this play. He was 1996. The "dresser" was built at the Lithuanian National Drama Theater with stars such as Regimantas Adomaitis, Eglė Gabrėnaitė, Arūnas Sakalauskas and others. Director A.
