The Panevėžys Puppet Carriage Theater will start in 2024 with a premiere based on H. K. Andersen's fairy tale "The Story of a Single Christmas Tree", author. and dir. K. Grossman.
The performance is based on the famous Danish fairy tale writer H. K. Andersen's fairy tale "The Christmas Tree", in which the creator conveys a not entirely happy life story. H. K. Andersen, who evaluated life from the perspective of a child, a poet, a philosopher, created fairy tales that reflect many regularities of child psychology. In his work, objects, animals, plants are humanized, and behind their completely childish flaws lies the essence of life and human relations, mercy and sadness due to the imperfection of life.
The main character of the play "The Story of a Single Christmas Tree" - the Christmas tree - is a timid, restless fantasist, an eternally unsatisfied honor-seeker, who has never experienced a moment of happiness, because either she kept hoping for something better than what she is now, or she looked nostalgically at the past. The fabulousness of the performance is determined by the principle of humanization. This multi-layered work provokes various perceptions and interpretations not only for young viewers, but also for their parents. After visiting the performance, many people will realize, and maybe remember, that you need to enjoy every moment of life, be happy now and not look for perfection somewhere else.
