in 2022 after the collapse of the sluice of the "Ekrano" dam, Nevēžis floods part of Panevėžys. Residents flock to the dam to watch this event: they sail boats, save their belongings, fish, and the municipality promises to compensate for the damage caused by the disaster.
These events become the main inspirations of the performance "Beyond Nevėžio".
The show is like a flooded Nevežis: constantly changing, unpredictable. It intertwines two storylines, two acting styles - naturalistic and versed text, classical and electronic music. Here, a serf and a countess, an influencer and a secretary face the same problem - the despair caused by the destructive element of water.
The creative team, assuming that despair is a natural human state at the turn of the ages, asks with light irony and absurdity: what does a person who is immersed in despair not notice? Maybe beyond Nevėžys lies something that would help us see each other even in the biggest crisis?
