On October 5-15, the Panevezys Cultural Heaven will be illuminated by the International Small Stage Festival Baltic Small - this year's theme: Light. The festival, which has long traditions, is organized by Panevezys Theater "Art". The festival invites you to experience theater as an inner enlightenment that grows, brings together and inspires. This year, the program is distinguished by a variety of content and shapes, from traditional performances to play readings and experienced performances. Much attention is paid to the creators of the Baltic States, the international dialogue and the trends of contemporary stage art.
This performance is a deeply engaging and thoughtful experience that combines sensory elements that move viewers to another world. Using the "strokes" of Edward Virza as a basis for this sensory journey, the powerful meaning of connection with nature and time is revealed. Director Liena Šmukštė talks about the modern world, which is too fast when people feel overwhelmed and when technology occupies a growing place. It causes the need to stop, retreat from everyday urgency, and re -unite with the real world - nature, time flow, authentic sounds. "Strumpy" is the port of peace, the first beginning of everything, the idealized idyll of the world.
The sensory form of theater, emphasizing sounds, odors and touches, is extremely strong because it allows the viewer to experience the world in a completely different way, not just through vision. It becomes a unique opportunity for everyone to participate and experience this poetry through various sensations - hearing, smells and touch.
